About ALIAS

From classification and search to understanding

A different approach

Built clean sheet for the AI era

For decades, aerospace and defense business development has depended on relationships, market knowledge and experience. The information tools supporting that work have largely relied on classification and search: NAICS codes, keywords, product classifications, NSNs and other part numbers.

Those tools are good at finding the obvious, when the vocabulary used to describe your business closely matches the language used to describe the opportunity. But the most valuable sales opportunities rarely present themselves neatly. They use different terminology, appear in different contexts, and only become visible when you understand the underlying capability and need.

AI changes that. It can understand your products, capabilities, customers and priorities, while also understanding the context, intent and commercial significance of each market development.

Rather than carrying forward the cost, complexity and assumptions of legacy research platforms, ALIAS uses AI to analyze more than 10,000 aerospace and defense developments each day to identify the ones that matter to your business and explain why.

The result is a step change in aerospace and defense market intelligence: dramatically broader coverage, more effective lead generation, and a fraction of the cost of legacy approaches.

Founder, ALIAS Intel

Brad Nolen is an aerospace sales and marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience across aviation and defense. He has served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at CMC Electronics and Vice President, Marketing at Bombardier Aerospace, after previously leading Product Design at Bombardier. He began his career as an aerospace engineer.

In 2018, years before AI became a mainstream sales tool, Brad built an AI enabled lead generation capability at Bombardier that prioritized more than 100,000 prospects and contributed to hundreds of millions of dollars in aircraft sales.

That experience combining aerospace market knowledge, sales judgment and emerging technology ultimately led to the creation of ALIAS.
